OPEN STUDIO

For the first time, the "Landscape Series", a series of small works on paper painted with oil colors, will be formally displayed. An on-going habit of mine which begun two years ago of painting local landscapes, either en plein air or at the studio out of memory after long walks in Larnaka's salt lake area with my dog.

Despite the fact that these works are oil paintings, my method is more akin to that of a charcoal sketching. I want these works to be painted fast. Time its an important factor when it comes to painting. Painting fast especially with oil,  means that you need to be extremely familiar with the material and decisive, while maintaining a sense of freedom.
